Use the included USB-C cable to connect the device to a computer (or 5V power converter) and recharge the battery. Insert the small plug end of the USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the device. Then plug the other end of the cable (the large plug) into a USB port on your computer or the 5V power converter. Once the device is fully charged, disconnect the cable from the computer and the device. Charge the stylus in the same way.  The USB-C port on the stylus is located under the rubber cover.

Please note that the battery must be recharged by an adult

With 2GB of built-in RAM, the PAD CREATOR allows you to carry out a wide range of projects. However, you can insert a micro SD card into the provided slot to expand the device’s memory. The device has an internal memory, so you don’t need a micro-SD card to use it. Make sure the device is switched off. Insert the memory card (not included).

To remove the memory card, press the eject button once.

Note: the micro-SD card used (not supplied) must  not exceed 128GB.

Make sure you have activated Wi-Fi on your tablet by going to ‘Settings’, selecting your network and entering the password. Move closer to your box, modem or router to improve your Wi-Fi reception, and switch it off and on again if necessary.

If you encounter a problem, it may be related to the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. The frequency band of your Wi-Fi network may not be compatible. To avoid any malfunction, we recommend that you connect to a 2.4 GHz band.

What is the reason for the blocking of certain sites when I use Kids Search to browse the internet?
Kids Search Junior is a search engine designed specifically for children and teenagers to help ensure safer browsing. It filters out inappropriate content and blocks access to sites deemed unsuitable, such as those containing violence, inaccurate information, or adult content. This helps protect young users by providing them with a safer, more educational online environment. If certain sites are blocked, it is likely because they do not meet the safety criteria.

I can’t access YT / YT Kids.
When using Kids Search, access to YouTube and YouTube Kids may be restricted, as this search engine is designed to protect young users by blocking certain content. This may include restrictions on video platforms such as YouTube, in order to avoid any risk of exposure to inappropriate content.

How secure browsing works with Kids Search.
Kids Search’s secure browsing feature only works via the dedicated app installed on the tablet. This app combines a search engine with a secure browser that automatically blocks access to inappropriate sites.
If Kids Search is used with an unsecured browser, such as Safari, it will not be possible to prevent access to sites via a direct URL. To guarantee security, it is important to use the Kids Search app on your device.

How to update Kids Search.
You can update the Kids Search application by selecting the ‘Software Update’ tab in the settings menu. We recommend regularly checking for new updates to ensure the Kids Search engine performs optimally.

I’ve lost my Parental password, what can I do?
If the parental password is forgotten, you can use the **two security questions** set up during set-up.

I’ve lost my Secret Diary password, what can I do?
You can reset the secret diary password in the ‘parental control’ tab of the tablet settings.

How to update your Pad Creator or the Kids Search application? 
You will receive a notification when an update is available, prompting you to start the download immediately. Alternatively, you can update the system software by accessing the ‘Software update’ tab in Settings. To ensure optimal operation, we recommend that you regularly check for new updates.

Printing is by thermal transfer (safe for children) and requires no drying time. So there’s no ink, which also means no ink refills to worry about. Printing is in black and white, and the print quality is good. The BPA-free thermal paper used is much more economical and durable than photo paper.

​If you encounter any printing problems, first ensure that the tablet is sufficiently charged. The first print made with a new roll of paper may show white lines due to the roll being sealed. This should only happen with the first print. White lines may also indicate that the print head is dirty or dusty. Open the paper compartment of the tablet and locate the print head. Clean this part with a soft cloth, such as a lens cloth.

I’ve run out of printer paper. What should I do?
If you run out of printer paper, Photo Creator paper refills are available in shops and online here.
Don’t use paper that isn’t suitable, or you risk damaging your machine. 

The printer doesn’t  work when I press the button? What can I do?
If you press the print button and nothing happens, it’s probably because the tablet’s battery is too weak to start the printing process. Recharge your tablet for 15–20 minutes and printing should resume.

To charge the device, connect it to a computer or mains adapter (5V) using the included USB-C cable. Connect the small plug to the USB-C port on the device and the large plug to a USB port on the computer or adapter. Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable.

The tablet won’t turn on. What should I do?

The tablet will only turn on if the battery has a minimum charge. Switch it off, then connect it to its charger. The screen should light up and display a charging icon. Leave it for fifteen to twenty minutes, then try turning it on again.

My tablet froze while I was using it. The touchscreen, keyboard and various modes are no longer responding.

Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance yourself if it cannot be switched on or off, has broken down or is jammed. First, try resetting it by holding down the on/off button for 10 seconds. If this does not work, use a pin to press the reset button once.
